Gorner gorge is situated between Zermatt and Furi (1865 m). It takes only about 15 minutes from Zermatt to reach the gorge and enjoy the landscape. You have to walk towards the end of the village by the river and then just easily follow the signs (for hikers). If you want to do the via ferrata then the easiest way is to take a lift up to Furi and walk down a bit where the adventure starts. Amazing fixed rope route for rock lovers that are not scared of heights and rappelling/ abseiling. It is also a place for hikers in summer.
It is amazing fun with a bit of adrenaline (there’s even a place where you can do your ‘Tarzan jump’), suitable for the whole families (you can book your Gorner gorge day out with Alpine Center – here ) or if you are an experienced climber with all the knots, zip-line, rope knowledge than nothing easier as going on your own!
