As many women I like changes. Some of us change their hairstyle a lot, I decided to change my tattoo. It needed some refreshing. After searching and asking around I found a place – Benson Gascon Studio in Bern.
Benson studied fineart in England and moved to Switzerland after meeting love of his life who is originally from Gstaad. First studio in Bern turned out to be too small. ‘After realising that the size of our private studio is getting smaller as the clients grew larger, after 5 months we decided to start looking for a bigger place. Took about a month before we found the perfect place just to suit a large capacity of clients.‘ It’s spotless clean, has a hip feel to it. He chose Bern because as he says ‘ it is closer to my wife’s place called Gstaad. Another thing is that Bern is much calmer than other big cities in Switzerland. Everything is nice here in Bern just that most of the shops are closed early and on Sunday. But so far, Bern is an amazing old place.’
Benson is not alone in the studio. Jaimar is another artist and my little guru who tortured me for 12 hours. He comes from the Philippines where he used to be a graphic designer. He did a cover of my tattoo and I couldn’t be more happy with the results. Buddha is smiling all the time. I asked the guys what would they recommend to see in Bern and…’the places to visit in Bern would be the Rose Garden, Old Town, Gurten Mountain, and Benson Gascon Studios most of all.’ Bit of self-advertisement doesn’t hurt.
So if you’re a tattoo maniac go there. Amazing atmosphere, top quality service and I can assure you will leave the studio very happy.
