If you’re a VW Beetle fan (like me!) then you should pop by Château-d’Oex (canton of Vaud) next year end of August.
Every 2 years Lémania Coccinelle Club organises an international meeting of ‘ladybug’ (coccinelle in French) lovers in this pretty village. Club was found by Richard Aïta, Thierry Blanchut and Olivier Guignard in 1989 in Vevey. If you like ‘hippie, surfer’ buses and all other sorts of VW Beetle than that’s where you want to be next year. There’s around 1500 cars every 2 years from all over the world.
There’s Beetles to buy, there’s little or bigger merchandise stands, places to have a drink (drink beer from a Beetle pitcher!), restaurant stands, some music. When there don’t forget to stroll around the stunning village of Château-d’Oex. See you next year?
